Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mahanoy Area routs North Schuylkill

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Mahanoy Area Golden Bears basketball team scored a big 58-32 triumph over the North Schuylkill Spartans.

The Golden Bears (17-0) will now prepare for their contest against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners go into the Schuylkill County 1 contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Minersville was trounced by Pottsville (Pottsville, PA), 54-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 contest, on Friday, January 24. North Schuylkill will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Crimson Tide go into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 54-44 league win over Minersville (Minersville, PA).
