In Tuesday's league contest, the host Reagan County Owls basketball team scored a big 64-38 triumph over the Sterling City Eagles.
The Owls (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jayton (Jayton, TX). The Jaybirds go into the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Jayton smashed Hamlin (Hamlin, TX), 84-42, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Christoval Cougars (Christoval, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 contest, on Friday, January 24. Sterling City will attempt to better on its 10-11 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 17-10 record after their 46-42 league win over Ozona (Ozona, TX).
