Texas High School Basketball - Sterling City can't hold off Reagan County

Reagan County Owls (Big Lake, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Sterling City Eagles (Sterling City, TX), 58-51 in a league match.

With the victory, Reagan County upgrades its record to 10-3 on the year. The Owls host Kermit (Kermit, TX) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league match on Friday, December 20. The Yellow Jackets enter the match with a record of 4-9. Kermit lost 66-30 in their recent non-league match against Lovington (Lovington, NM)

The Eagles now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christoval for a 2A Region I District 7 battle on Friday, December 20. Sterling City will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 82-43 league win over Ozona (Ozona, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-7.
