In Tuesday's league test, the Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS) basketball squad defeated the host Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), by a score of 47-35.
The Tigers now have a 9-7 record. They play next when they host South Pike for a 3A Region 7 game on Friday, January 24.
With the loss, Port Gibson falls to 4-19 on the campaign. The Blue waves host Wesson (Wesson, MS) to confront the Cobras in a 3A Region 7 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Cobras go into the game with a record of 12-11.
