The Morton Indians basketball squad (Morton, TX), was crushed 82-6 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX)

With the victory, Ropes advances its record to 20-10 on the year. The Eagles travel to Whiteface (Whiteface, TX) to meet the Antelopes in a 2A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, January 24. The Antelopes enter the battle with a record of 27-2. Whiteface won 79-20 in their recent league battle against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX)

The Indians now own a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smyer for a 2A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, January 24. Morton will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 65-53 league win over Sundown (Sundown, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 20-8.
