Texas High School Basketball - Morton trounced by Ropes

Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Morton Indians (Morton, TX), 64-16 in a league match.

With the victory, Ropes advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 11-5.

The Indians now own a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Smyer for a 2A Region I District 5 match on Friday, December 20. Morton will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 66-49 league loss to Sundown (Sundown, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 13-5.
