In Monday's league outing, the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), by a margin of 88-55.
The Colonels (12-2) will now prepare for their outing against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals go into the Dogwood outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, William Campbell smashed Gretna (Gretna, VA), 49-46, in a league outing.
The Governors now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham for a Dogwood outing on Tuesday, January 23. Nelson County will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 59-52 league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-9.
