Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) and the host Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), saw Altavista's basketball squad wallop Nelson County by a tally of 80-51.

With the victory, Altavista improves its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Colonels host Chatham (Chatham, VA) to confront the Cavaliers in a Dogwood challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 9-11.

Next up, the Governors confront the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Thursday, February 15. Nelson County will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record.
