West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County crushes Braxton County

January 22, 2024: Summersville, WV 26651

Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV), 65-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nicholas County upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Lewis County (Weston, WV) to play the Minutemen in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Lewis County won 60-47 in their recent league bout against Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV)

Next up, the Eagles play the Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV) in a Little Kanawha - East bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Braxton County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 59-25 non-league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, WV).
