Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars (Cooperstown, ND) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hatton/Northwood Thunder (Northwood, ND), 56-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Griggs County Central/Midkota upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] (Rogers, ND) to play the Bison in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Bison come into the bout with a record of 8-5.

Next up, the Thunder play the Larimore Polar Bears (Larimore, ND) in a B District 4 bout, on Friday, January 26. Hatton/Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Polar Bears come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 58-56 non-league win over Cavalier (Cavalier, ND).
