Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars (Cooperstown, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hatton/Northwood Thunder (Northwood, ND), 62-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Griggs County Central/Midkota upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season.

Next up, the Thunder clash with the Larimore Polar Bears (Larimore, ND) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 26. Hatton/Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 62-61 non-league loss to Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg (Mayville, ND).
