    The Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests basketball team scored 95 points and held the visiting Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles to 27 in the Wildebeests league triumph on Monday.

    The Wildebeests now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Idea for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 24. Sandy Spring Friends will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 62-44 league win over DC International (Washington, DC). The Timberwolves record now stands at 14-5.

    The Eagles (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Field (Washington, DC). The Falcons enter the Potomac Valley contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Field triumphed over Don Bosco Cristo Rey (Takoma Park, MD), 56-52, in a league contest.
