Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prouty Panthers (Spencer, MA), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Pirates travel to Southbridge (Southbridge, MA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Southbridge won 51-47 in their recent league bout against Bartlett (Webster, MA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Uxbridge Spartans (Uxbridge, MA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. Prouty will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 63-53 league loss to Grafton (Grafton, MA).
