The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Allegany Campers (Cumberland, MD), 50-48 in Monday's league test.

The Miners (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Berlin Brothersvalley got by Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA), 53-18, in a league test.

The Campers now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Southern for a Appalachian Mountain test on Thursday, January 25. Allegany will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Tucker County (Hambleton, WV). The Rams record now stands at 12-2.
