Appleton East Patriots (Appleton, WI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Appleton North Lightning (Appleton, WI), 76-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Appleton East upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Patriots host Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI) to clash with the Galloping Ghosts in a Fox Valley bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Galloping Ghosts go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Kaukauna lost 48-37 in their recent non-league bout against West De Pere (De Pere, WI)

Next up, the Lightning clash with the Appleton West Terrors (Appleton, WI) in a Fox Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Appleton North will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Terrors go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 56-48 league loss to Oshkosh West (Oshkosh, WI).
