The St. John Eagles basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the host Central Private Redhawks to 36 in the Eagles non-league victory on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Slaughter Community Charter for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. St. John will battle a Knights team coming off a 53-33 non-league loss to Holden (Holden, LA). The Knights record now stands at 3-8.

The Redhawks (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kentwood (Kentwood, LA). The Kangaroos come into the 1A District 9 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Kentwood edged Thrive Academy (Baton Rouge, LA), 52-32, in a league contest.
