North Stars (Bakersfield, CA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host West Vikings (Bakersfield, CA), 81-29 in a league match.
With the victory, North advances its record to 20-4 on the year. The Stars travel to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, January 24. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 12-9. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy lost 55-50 in their recent league match against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA)
The Vikings now own a 1-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host South for a South Yosemite - Mountain match on Thursday, January 23. West will face a Spartans squad coming off a 67-35 league win over Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-9.
