The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, MI) and the host Harrison Hornets (Harrison, MI), observed Beaverton's basketball team overcome Harrison by a margin of 48-33.

The Beavers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI). The Falcons come into the Jack Pine challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Ogemaw Heights dropped by Standish-Sterling (Standish, MI), 49-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI) in a Jack Pine challenge, on Friday, January 24. Harrison will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 42-38 league loss to Shepherd (Shepherd, MI).
