The Bloom Blazing Trojan basketball team (Chicago Heights, IL), was overwhelmed 49-27 in Monday's league battle with the host Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL)
The Kays now possess a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thornwood for a Southland battle on Thursday, January 26. Kankakee will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 59-26 league win over Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 25-3.
The Blazing Trojan (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Crete-Monee (Crete, IL). The Warriors come into the Southland battle with a 10-14 record. In their last battle, Crete-Monee trounced Thornridge (Dolton, IL), 46-33, in a league battle.
