The Highland Park Hornets basketball team (Amarillo, TX), dropped 51-41 in Monday's league battle with the host Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX)
The Mustangs now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farwell for a 2A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 27. Bovina will battle a Steers team coming off a 50-42 league loss to Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Steers record now stands at 24-5.
The Hornets (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Vega (Vega, TX). The Longhorns come into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Vega prevailed over Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX), 53-37, in a league battle.
