Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX), 50-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Alvarado upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 4A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 17-11. Hillsboro lost 90-36 in their recent league bout against Kennedale (Kennedale, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Life Waxahachie Mustangs (Waxahachie, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, January 26. Venus will attempt to upgrade on its 22-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 55-53 league win over Ferris (Ferris, TX).
