Texas High School Basketball - Nimitz nudges Benjamin Davis

Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Benjamin Davis Falcons (Houston, TX), 40-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Nimitz upgrades its record to 17-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to Dekaney (Houston, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-15. Dekaney lost 68-44 in their recent league bout against Westfield (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Westfield Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, January 26. Benjamin Davis will attempt to upgrade on its 16-9 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 68-44 league win over Dekaney (Houston, TX).
