Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), 51-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Commerce upgrades its record to 14-11 on the season. The Tigers travel to Chisum (Paris, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, January 26. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 21-9. Chisum won 58-42 in their recent league bout against Rains (Emory, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes clash with the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, January 26. Lone Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 16-11 record after their 62-26 league win over Prairiland (Pattonville, TX).
