The Lone Oak Buffaloes basketball team (Lone Oak, TX), was nudged 61-54 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX)
The Tigers now possess a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chisum for a 3A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Commerce will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 49-41 league loss to Rains (Emory, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-6.
The Buffaloes (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Dodd City (Dodd City, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Dodd City held off Coram Deo Academy (Plano, TX), 73-33, in a non-league outing.
