North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont nudges Red Springs

January 23, 2024: Red Springs, NC 28377

In Tuesday's league outing, the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) basketball squad edged the host Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), by a margin of 41-39.

The Golden Tornadoes (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights go into the 2A Southeastern outing with a 14-1 record. In their last outing, West Bladen held off St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC), 51-29, in a league outing.

The Red Devils now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Midway for a 2A Southeastern outing on Friday, January 26. Red Springs will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 56-45 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 10-4.
