North Carolina High School Basketball - Red Springs overwhelmed by Fairmont

The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Red Springs Red Devils to 32 in the Golden Tornadoes league victory on Friday.

The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Bladen for a 2A Southeastern contest on Tuesday, February 13. Fairmont will battle a Knights team coming off a 48-40 league win over St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Knights record now stands at 19-1.

The Red Devils (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against Midway (Dunn, NC). The Raiders come into the 2A Southeastern contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Midway triumphed over Clinton (Clinton, NC), 56-44, in a league contest.
