Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS) and the host Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS), saw Lawrence County's basketball squad knock off Forrest County Agricultural by a tally of 34-23.

With the victory, Lawrence County improves its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS) to play the Bobcats in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Sumrall won 57-44 in their recent league challenge against Columbia (Columbia, MS)

Next up, the Aggies battle the Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, January 25. Forrest County Agricultural will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 15-5 record after their 70-49 league win over Lake (Lake, MS).
