The Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME), 56-50 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their test against East Grand (Dansforth, ME). The Vikings go into the D North test with a 0-12 record. In their last test, East Grand was tipped by Madawaska (Madawaska, ME), 85-12, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Ashland for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Fort Fairfield will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 55-49 non-league loss to Madawaska (Madawaska, ME). The Hornets record now stands at 5-7.
