The South Iron Panthers basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Fredericktown Black Cats to 33 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caruthersville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. South Iron will battle a Tigers team coming off a 69-66 non-league loss to Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.

The Black Cats (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Park Hills, MO). The Rebels come into the Mineral Area - Large contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Central triumphed over West County (Leadwood, MO), 73-56, in a non-league contest.
