In Tuesday's league outing, the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) basketball squad felled the host Peninsula Panthers (Rolling Hills Estates, CA), by a margin of 53-39.

The Mustangs (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA). The Sea Kings go into the Bay outing with a 14-11 record. In their last outing, Palos Verdes was beaten by Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA), 67-45, in a league outing.

The Panthers now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they travel to Culver City for a Bay outing on Friday, January 26. Peninsula will encounter a Centaurs squad coming off a 76-52 league loss to Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA). The Centaurs record now stands at 14-7.
