The Orono Spartans basketball team (Long Lake, MN), dropped 87-73 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN)
The Wildcats now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benilde-St. Margaret's for a AAA Section 6 battle on Friday, January 26. Waconia will battle a Red Knights team coming off a 63-58 non-league win over Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN). The Red Knights record now stands at 7-7.
The Spartans (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Bloomington, MN). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Jefferson dropped by Chaska (Chaska, MN), 79-67, in a non-league battle.
