Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) and the visiting Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN), saw Orono's basketball squad overcome Waconia by a tally of 77-68.

With the victory, Orono improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Jefferson (Bloomington, MN) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 3-19. Jefferson lost 66-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Chaska (Chaska, MN)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights (St. Louis Park, MN) in a AAA Section 6 challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Waconia will attempt to improve on its 17-5 season record. The Red Knights come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 95-90 non-league win over Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN).
