Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany topped by Carroll County

The Carroll County Cavaliers basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Alleghany Cougars to 55 in the Cavaliers league victory on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glenvar for a Three Rivers contest on Wednesday, January 24. Carroll County will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 53-12 league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-12.
The Cougars (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the Three Rivers contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, James River prevailed over Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 46-42, in a league contest.
