Nebraska High School Basketball - Shelby-Rising City overwhelms East Butler

January 23, 2024: Shelby, NE 68662

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE) and the visiting East Butler Tigers (Brainard, NE), saw Shelby-Rising City's basketball squad wallop East Butler by a count of 43-19.

With the victory, Shelby-Rising City upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Huskies host Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Nebraska Christian won 47-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE)

Next up, the Tigers play the Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 26. East Butler will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 61-29 non-league loss to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE).
