Virginia High School Basketball - Great Bridge topped by Hickory

The Hickory Hawks basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Great Bridge Wildcats to 37 in the Hawks league victory on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lakeland for a Southeastern contest on Friday, January 26. Hickory will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 69-9 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-12.
The Wildcats (5-11) will now prepare for their match against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies enter the Southeastern match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Grassfield was outscored by Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA), 40-38, in a league match.
