The Immaculate Conception Lions (Montclair, NJ) basketball knocked off the host University Phoenix (Newark, NJ), 71-55 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lions (13-4) will now prepare for their test against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, St. John-Vianney notched a victory over Ewing (Trenton, NJ), 67-38, in a non-league test.
The Phoenix now own a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Mount St. Dominic Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. University will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 44-37 non-league win over Columbia (Maplewood, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 8-7.
