Immaculate Conception Lions (Montclair, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host University Phoenix (Newark, NJ), 75-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Immaculate Conception upgrades its record to 22-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ) to clash with the Minutemen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 16-8. Newark Academy won 68-43 in their recent non-league bout against Pennington (Pennington, NJ)

Next up, the Phoenix clash with the Beloved Community Charter Owls (Jersey City, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 22. University will attempt to upgrade on its 21-3 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 40-31 non-league win over American History (Newark, NJ).
