Texas High School Basketball - Lake Creek thwarts Magnolia West

The Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX) basketball knocked off the host Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX), 55-38 in Tuesday's league test.

The Lions (20-10) will now prepare for their test against Brenham (Brenham, TX). The Cubs go into the 5A Region III District 21 test with a 17-15 record. In their last test, Brenham notched a victory over Rudder (Bryan, TX), 39-25, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 21-10 record. They play next when they travel to Montgomery for a 5A Region III District 21 test on Friday, January 26. Magnolia West will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 70-45 league win over College Station (College Station, TX). The Bears record now stands at 24-6.
