Lumberton Panthers (Lumberton, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS), 63-9 in a league bout.

With the win, Lumberton upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Panthers host Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 1A Region 8 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Enterprise won 54-39 in their recent league bout against Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) in a 1A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 26. Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 54-39 league loss to Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS).
