Mississippi High School Basketball - Lumberton trounces Salem

The Lumberton Panthers (Lumberton, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS), 55-20 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS). The Eagles go into the 1A Region 8 test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Resurrection Catholic was trounced by East Marion (Columbia, MS), 12-0, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a 1A Region 8 test on Tuesday, January 9. Salem will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 42-30 league loss to Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-13.
