South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), 76-40 in a league bout.

With the win, South Laurel upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Cardinals host Bell County (Pineville, KY) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Colonels play the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a District 50 bout, on Friday, January 26. Whitley County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Redhounds go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 77-33 league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY).
