In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), by a margin of 26-24.
The Pioneers (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons go into the non-league outing with a 7-0 record.
The Eagles now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Giles for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 25. Auburn will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 29-28 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 8-2.
