In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Phil Campbell Bobcats basketball team scored a good 42-30 triumph over the Belgreen Bulldogs.

The Bobcats (12-16) will now prepare for their contest against Phillips (Bear Creek, AL). The Bears go into the non-league contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Phillips topped Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL), 78-75, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 25. Belgreen will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 4-18 record after their 57-51 non-league loss to Ingomar (New Albany, MS).
