The Circle Thunderbirds basketball team scored 89 points and limited the host Clearwater Indians to 34 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Collegiate for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Circle will confront a Spartans team coming off a 83-50 non-league loss to Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS). The Spartans record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Clearwater falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Indians host Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, KS) to confront the Dragons in a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 2-9. Belle Plaine lost 56-37 in their recent non-league game against Mulvane (Mulvane, KS)
