The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Digital Pioneers Academy Pythons (Washington, DC) and the host DC International Dragons (Washington, DC), observed Digital Pioneers Academy's basketball team overcome DC International by a margin of 54-35.

The Pythons (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Surrattsville dropped by Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North (Laurel, MD), 74-61, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons battle the School Without Walls Penguins (Washington, DC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. DC International will attempt to better on its 10-12 season record. The Penguins come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 47-19 league win over Bell (Washington, DC).
