The Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL) basketball were winner over the visiting Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), 81-73 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Turks now possess a 18-3 record. They play next when they travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. Tremont will play a Chiefs team coming off a 50-43 non-league win over Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Chiefs record now stands at 8-13.
With the loss, Eureka falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL) to play the Hornets in a Heart of Illinois bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Heyworth lost 48-45 in their recent non-league bout against LeRoy (LeRoy, IL)
