The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM), observed Las Cruces's basketball team overwhelm Gadsden by a score of 64-27.
The Bulldawgs (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights come into the 5A District 3 challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Organ Mountain trounced Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM), 78-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Monday, January 27. Gadsden will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 57-48 league loss to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM).
