North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County triumphant over Rosman

January 23, 2025: Rosman, NC 28772

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) and the host Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), observed Avery County's basketball team overwhelm Rosman by a score of 51-21.

The Vikings (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses come into the 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge with a 2-14 record.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands challenge, on Friday, January 24. Rosman will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 67-60 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC).
