North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County overwhelms Rosman

December 17, 2024: Newland, NC 28657

The Avery County Vikings basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Rosman Tigers to 11 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Draughn for a 1A/2A Western Highlands game on Thursday, December 19. Avery County will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 71-19 league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Rosman falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to confront the Cougars in a 1A/2A Western Highlands game on Friday, December 20. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 4-1. Mountain Heritage won 54-44 in their recent non-league game against Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN)
