Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Olive holds off Southwestern

The Mt. Olive Wildcats basketball team scored 46 points and limited the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 42 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now have a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Dupo for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. Mt. Olive will confront a Tigers team coming off a 45-24 non-league win over Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 4-10.
With the loss, Southwestern falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Piasa birds host Seymour (Payson, IL) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Monday, January 27. The Indians go into the game with a record of 2-17. Seymour lost 72-21 in their recent league game against Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL)
